grettings, i need help trying to read my ecu. problem is i can't get to my ecu. the screws that cover the ecu don't have nothches to use a screwdriver. did anyone else come across this? I have a 97 SE. Also, i can send my max to the dealer for a free inspection (promotion) will i run into problems with them since i have a Y-pipe? much help apreciated.

Just use force to pull that piece off. They are not screws, they are snaps. And I wouldn't worry about the free inspection. I had my y-pipe on and went to a free inspection last year and a guy there complimented me on it.

I just checked my ecu today and I have the same thing you do. I just pulled 'em off and everything was okay. I don't think you'll have a problem with anything breaking.
