gettin ready to get mad

well i got lazy and went to get my oil changed today at the local castrol place......the way home check engine light comes on....i could be a freak thing but all my levels are up and i don't know where to start other than just turning it off. Someone said that at the magic milage on it....72,000....i am about 400 over that...please help because if you don't i am gonna go see my buddies at the castrol place and blame them.

get the codes from the ECU and see what it is.

i am not really that mechnically inclined so is there anything that i can do that is not gonna screw something bigger up....i live by the sayin....if it is not really broken don't try to fix it

It's not that hard to do. The only other option is take it to a Nissan Dealer and pay them $60 just to tell you what it is.

i'll pass on that last idea....one wierd thing was that today i was vaccuming the inside of the car and i noticed that the cover was half off....i didn't know what the neat little silver box was at the time so i didn't think anything of it....could this have anything to do with it

check the codes yourself
all you have to do is turn a screwdriver and count a blinking light.
is that so hard?

I'd say coincidence....but check the code. Could be something important. I know that leaving the gas cap off can actually cause the light to come on. Maybe the drain plug is loose or something
