Charging system Problems
Last night I went to go start my car and the battery wouldn't turn the thing over. I had one of my friends jump me off and it started up and of course I got home turned it off and tried to start it again and nothing happened, but I really didn't get to drive it around for any signifigant amount of time before I turned it off.
The first thing everybody is going to say is that my Battery is dead or my alternator is bad, and I'm not saying that it isn't but both are new, my battery is an optima and I just put my alternator in this summer so those are the last things I'm going to look at. Also I didn't leave my lights on and none of my doors were open. My first thought was That I have to many things drawing from the battery when the car is off but I listed the ones I know out(ECU, HU, RPMswitch thats all I can think of so if I'm missing something let me know)and they shouldn't draw enough current to kill the battery unless the car sat for a week or more.
I'm totaly stummed, and am about to take it to Nissan to let them look at it but before I do I wanted to see if anybody has any Ideas or knows of something simple that I may be missing.
Thanks in advance,
Ryan

NOTE: Resetting the 4th gen ECU by turning the screw only clears error codes, it does not "reset" your ECU. This information can be found in any service manual. Haynes tells you this in chapter 6.
