Re: bump

Yeah. I cant belive how difficult it is to get this manual.. Maybe I may have to go to the dealership. They might charge me an arm and a leg for it. But it is worth buying. I wish the dam search feature would work.

Hmmm...I can't find the 800 number right now but if you call your dealership and ask them for the number to call to get an FSM you'll get the right info. The books are printed under contract. Some people on the .org have offered the CD-ROM version of the FSM. Reports are that it doesn't have all the information of the hardcopy and if you don't have a notebook, you won't have the info with you in the garage.

Call your dealer and tell them what you want.

Not really. The manual which I need is not the one which comes in your clove-box for basic car needs. This is the manual which has a part-by-part brakedown of every component for the 1995-1999 Maxima. It is more detailed than the Haynes Manual. It is the bible of all repair manuals. I was told the book is roughly about $130 if I'm not mistaken.

FSM- year specific right?!

I just purchased a FSM of Ebay. It's a Nissan Factory Service Manual for the 1996 Maxima. The FSM's are year specific I believe. I've seen these on ebay before. Mine is the hard back, roughly 1700 page "bible" of the max. I havn't seen it in person as I'm deployed, but my wife has sent e-pics of it and it is def. year specific. I think I saw one on ebay today, 95 max (not those cheap CD ones either...) Yup here they are--- This is the same place I got mine - they are what they say - Shipping takes a bit - comes from Canada - Good communicator however
