Power Steering Follow-up

Last month I asked max.org for help on my power steering fluid leak. The dealer wanted $$$$$$$$$$$ to replace my rack & pinion because there was a leak in the seal. Several max.org members were kind enough to provide advice on the matter and as a result I saved $$$$$$$$$$$$.

I am writing to follow-up on the situation in case other rookie members are as foolish as me. As I mentioned in my initial post, the leak started to happen right after I had my power steering replaced by ExpressWay Lube Center (I never had a problem until then). They used universal fluid (I called them today and confirm it) and not Dexron III. The universal fluid leaked completely out, bone dry. The Nissan dealer did a refill with the right stuff. I have a slow leak now, but I have learned to live with it (top off the fluid).

make them pay for the damages->fixed, if they wont, file immediately with the BBB and go through their court/claims dept...( i am under the assumption it was their fault for wrong thing? our car calls for dexron iii specifically? )

who wants to have to keep topping off something if it is not your fault?

I am waiting for an owner/manager at the ExpressWay Lube Center to call me back. I bet an assistant will call me instead and tell me it's not their fault (they told me they use universal fluid on all cars, unfortunately they didn't put the fluid type on my receipt). I was going to ask for the $70 they charge me for the power steering replacement, but now I like your idea. I will call BBB because I know ExpressWay is not going to pay the $1,600 the dealer wants. THANKS. (you have a question mark next to Dexron III, I checked the manual and it calls for it and nothing else).
