supercharger

i am going to supercharge my maxima and I had a few questions for those who have them or have worked with them. im sure this is all covered if i searched so thats why Im asking. my main concern is installing the thing. would you reccommend paying to have it installed or doing it yourself? secondly, if you installed the SC yourself, did you run into any problems, was it a lot harder than you anticipated or a lot easier? any problems after it is installed? impressions? appreciate your response, I wanna be really informed before i dish out $3400.
p.s. - dont tell me to get the turbo charger. im not.

I'd suggest you start by reading this writeup several times.

I agree, I used that install writeup even thouogh I have a v1 sc. Be prepared for the worst because random **** breaks/ goes wrong, and leave yourself lots of time to do this.

Good advice. I installed my V1 kit with the help of this write-up, and didn't have any problems at all.

Installing the SC kit is pretty straightforward, but involves a lot of labor. It takes a fair degree of mechanical ability, but you can make the job much easier on yourself by reading through all the Stillen instructions and p'head's write-up very thoroughly. Be sure you have several days of free time to do the job(in case you run in to trouble), or you can do what I did and do it incrementally over a period of a couple of weeks. The longest amount of time I needed was about three hours to mount the blower and bracket and the piping. Also, you can make the job easier by installing an in-tank Walbro 255 lph fuel pump instead of the auxiliary fuel pump and Hobbs switch that is provided with the kit. Above all, don't get in a hurry and if you have problems, get help from the super/turbo forum.

Ya read those instructions, I read them even though I did not have a supercharger, does not seem that complicated, just tedious becuase you have to move things around and alot to hook up.

with the walbro fuel pump youll knock at least 2hours off the install. But prepare yourself to go thru some labor not hard but been careful everything goes on right etc..
