What's the Best Wax?

Just wanted to get a feel for what people think is the best wax to go with now that the nasty winter is beginning to clear. I have been for some time using the Meguire's Tec Wax. Which I like. I'm wondering what you guys think is the best for three things (Not necessarily at the same time):

1. Keeping rain and dirt off

2. The highest gloss

3. Best for Scratches and chips

Zaino is the best stuff by far. Go to www.zainobros.com and read about the product. Nothing can compare...trust me! It takes time but the results are unreal.

That does look like nice wax.. But it's like an 8 step program.. Not really what I'm up for

I use Zaino, just the Z1 first then the Z2. You really can just
use the Z2. This is the easiest stuff to put on then take off!
I see you have a black 98, I'll
post a link to what my black 97 looks like with Zaino when I
get home.

I use this too but it is definitely not the best. I have heard lots of good things about Zaino too.

Here are a couple of pics. It actually looks better
than what is shown in these pictures. I could not take
the photo's outside because it was too bright. I don't
think my paint is in good condition but it still shines
with the Zaino. The best part about the Zaino products
is the longevity. I can usually go 3 months and the
car still beads the rain!! No 4x4 jokes please..

hey, was your car into a rear-end accident? it looks like you have orange-peel paint on your trunk. i am not looking down on you or anything, but just letting you know to check into it if you were not aware. but otherwise, it looks dam good.

Could be. The car has had a couple of owners and I bought it
from CarMax. I'm not sure what you mean by the orange-peel
paint?

Thanks for the compliment!

the "orange peel" term is kinda a old term used by my dad, so it kinda stuck with me. it means that when you look at the paint it kinda looks like the skin of an orange.. not perfectly flat, but it is ripley. hence the name of orange peel. orange peel usally occurs when the body shop does a half a$$ed job painting. owell. you can try to find out what happened to your car by using car fax, but even then some accidents are not recorded. sorry if i upset you by telling you this.

O.K. I see it now. I did look at the carfax before I bought
it and it was clean so this one must have slipped by. I'm not
upset just impressed that you caught something like that through
the pic. I haven't had any problems with yet so I'll cross
my fingers and hope for the best!!!

i am sure your car is fine though, usally stuff like that is minor, maybe like a small fender bender or something... i wouldn't worry about it. i actually have the same thing on my rear bumper. shhh, don't tell anyone! good luck though... and i think i am going to pick up some of that max because your paint really does look awsome.
