Is it possible...

Is it possible to tell which ignition coils are bad on a car without codes? My friend has got at least one bad and his car isnt throwing specific codes. Any help is appreciated.

check the spark plugs

Measure the coils with an Ohm meter. See if one differs greatly from the others.
