installing AE pedals...

I cant seem to figure out how to remove the gas pedal to put the new one on. As for the brake pedal, any advice on how to make it a little easier?

Thanks

for the brake, someone once said something about boiling it to make it more flexible. i just used a short but fat flat head screw driver and kinda pried it on. hard but after a while you'll figure it out. as far as the gas pedal...are you replacing the whole arm or just pedal? just unsnap the piece on the stock one and slide it off. it's hard installing the ae one cuz it doesn't fit snug...so you need to either wedge something in there so it stays tight, or think of something else. you kinda have to invent a lil and work with them to make them both fit tight but they work. sorry if this is vague, but basically just keep trying and you'll get it. g'luck

I got the brake on by boiling it to soften it up. The gas doesn't want to fit. It is just the pedal, not the whole arm. The AE gas pedal didn't come with a new clip, so I cut the old one off, but it isn't fitting. Any ideas?

i also used the clip from the old one...i put it on and then used rubber bands to secure it. i know it sounds sketchy but it works.

what I did was remove the clip by cutting with razor and trimming to fit the new AE pedal clip holder...about 1/16" trim off the edge depending on how close you want it to fit...then wrap electrical tape about 3/8" thick all the way around the bottom of the peg as the gap has to be taken up to prevent shaking/rattling.

enjoy...

thanks everyone...

I used a file to trim down the clip, and also filed the edges of the ae pedal where the clip attaches. I used electrical tape to hold the bottom part snug. It was more of a pain in the azz than i thought, but it looks good.
