Hanabi HID Problem

I just switched the HID's from my 96 to my new 97..... but I've noticed that sometimes when I move the HID wires leading from the ballast, the lights turn on and off. I have to set the wires in a specific location for the lights to turn on and this happens on both bulbs. A few times, the lights have turned off on me while driving. Did I mess up the HID ballasts or bulbs? Or could it be that the previous owner had high wattage bulbs and melted the stock harnesses?

run through all you connections again. It seems as if you just have a loose wire somehwere and the contact are periodically disconnecting.

HID harness is loose. Use some E-tape to hold it firm in place. Worked for me.

I had the same problem. The 9004 harness was loose and the lights would sometimes go out. I used a zip tie around the harness to make sure it was always tight.
Haven't had a problem since.

I've been away for a while, and was just wondering what the update on these Hanabi's is? I was giong to get a kit last year from Freddie (97gles) and then when i finally decided upon one, he said he had none left. anyhow, how is the reliability on these things...i know some of you have had the kit for a while now. HOw much are they running for lately and is it worth getting one, or do you get pulled over too much, cant see properly, or had too many problems with it? Finally, are the 6000K ones still avail (blue?) and do these match the majority of stock bulbs on the majority of makes? Thanks!

I think they are great..... this is the first problem I have ever had with them... and they are definitely worth the money. Visibility is increased 1000x and I have never had problems with the cops (I have a 7000K kit). Freddie has 7000K kits in stock i think..... and they give off a white with a little blue tint... a perfect color IMO.

How much is the kit?

Is he still offering them out of Jersey City? Anyone remember the name of the store (It was Audio Concepts or something like that...i cant quite remember it).

Hoping he would offer me the same prices he does on here if i just visit him at the store. thanks again...
