Test Pipe Installation
I have a Budget y-pipe and b-pipe installed right now, with the stock cat. I have a Budget test pipe that I tried to install on Friday. I noticed that the stock cat has 2 bolts on the y-pipe end that is attached to the cat itself. As a result I was not able to swap out the cat for the test pipe because I didn't have any replacement bolts. I was wondering if anyone else ran into the same problems.
I can't take it to a local muffler shop obviously since it is a test pipe. But I was wondering if anyone did run into the same problem as I described and if you did, what bolts did you get to replace the 2 bolts between the y-pipe and cat/test-pipe.
Thanks.

I don't know what size to buy at the store and I didn't want to take one bolt out and run on 3

2 washers on each bolt, one on each side of the flange. They don't need to be metric, or the exact diameter that Nissan uses, etc. Just nuts and bolts.

Go to home depot (or something similar). Get 2 bolts that are at least 3" long...get 2 matching nuts for the bolts and 4 washers who's outer diameter is bigger than the hole in the test pipe and ypipe, and who's inner diameter is bigger than the diameter of the bolts.

Anything (metal of course, not plastic) should work.

I can't do a search so I can't check on past history of other 95 Maxima guys. But I do remember that a couple of guys didn't have any issues. I am hoping that mine works out the same way.
