I am buying a muffler soon. I want one with a silencer. Does anyone know if these work? If so how much do they work?

From what I heard they help. It reduced the exhaust sound by 7 db. But why would you want to get one? That defeats the purpose of getting an exhaust system.

I want one for the sound. That is why i am getting it, but on ling trip I bet hearing that monatone sounds for 9 hours would get pretty annoying.

If 7db alot? Would it make it pretty quiet?

if ur jus gettin the muffler itself don't expect any HP/torque gain... do u have an intake? y-pipe? why not save and get a catback?

i want to do that one day, but i am a 17 year old, and low on cash. I am also within the next month buying rims, and tires. I get paid about $7.50 an hour. That is why i cannot do it all right at the moment.

personally i would perfer at least a K&N popcharger... or u can get BOMz racing CAI on ebay for $80~~ and i don't c why ur poor when ur gettin rims and tires... i don't even have tat much of $$ to get those yet

haham i am poor, I have been saving up for about 7 months. i also am lowering, and buying gen 2 atlezza's before the muffler. so i will be very poor. I will do it all right oneday, i do nto want to be a ricer, but that is all i can be at the moment.

Getting a muffler without doing anything else to the exhaust really won't change the sound all that much. Go with something decent though.. magnaflow seems to be pretty popular among 4th gen owners.
