i saw a red elipse gsx (auto, stock i think) flying ahead of me, so i downshift and catch up. At the light i look over.. and he does the same. Its ON! Light goes green.. I smoke him off the line.. and then just walk him all over. By 80 i had over 2 cars/3 cars on him. Next light... he pulls up looks over.. but doesn't race. I love my max!

 

If it was 5 speed, it would have been a better race..

yea if that was a manual with a good drive it woulda been a different outcome. you would of taken em off the line but when that turbo starts spooling look out. but are u stock?

I didn't know Eclipse GSX came in auto. It's still AWD, so shouldn't it get you off the line despite it being an auto?

 

Yes they came in auto, no they are frickin dogs. A modified 5spd and modified auto GSX would probably have an ET difference of about 1 full second. Stock an auto GSX would be lucky to run 16.0.

 

eclipse GSX are slow if not modded to extreme...

 

and once they are they are, they're faster than we'll ever get.



my buddy has a modded gs-x 5 spd and damnnnn that thing can launch.

 

I like it when females pull up next to you in their Eclipse thinking they're in a fast car and the you blow them away.

 

Yeah Eclipses arent fast, even the newer ones with the 3.0 V6, walked all over one the other night from a roll (i was behind him when we started) to about 115mph.

are GS-T's faster than GSX?? i know GS-T's have a stock turbo...i raced a GS-T last week, but it wasnt a fair race, and i didnt wanna gun it
i was jus driving all calm and pull up to the light, he doesnt even look at me, i was looking at his car and he has the typical stuff to be able to tell he likes pumping(muffler/altezza's, rims, etc)...so the light turns green, i take off normal upto 2500 and he thinks im gunning it(prolly hears my CAI), so he takes off WOT on me and takes a good jump, then i WOT and bamm i catch upto him and he's only like a 1/2 car length ahead of me, but then he prolly thinks he burned me cuz i shut the race down cuz i knew there was a precint coming up a block down...im an auto 97 with CAI, Ypipe and VB mod...wut was my chances against this guy? i believe he's auto, i wanna smoke him next time even tho i dont like racing
