Front door speaker grill?

Anyone know if getting the metal grill part for the front door speaker's made would be exspensive?

I punctured my drivers side grill and I ended up ripping the metal grill part out -- woops!. OEM replacements may be cheaper? Or find a car audio place to make a new one for both speakers/doors?

Yeah.. One problem for me at the moment, the junk yards i've been to thus far all have BLACK interiors. My speaker grill was brown/tan.

Hmm.. I guess changing it to black would be OK. Hmm.. Thoughts?

i painted mine black:

put black in there if that's all you can find, makes it more custom imo. otherwise, call around other junkyards and have them ship. goodluck

it might look out of place with the black ones......the only other place I know of to get them is from the dealer or a custom shop

that's even a bad pic of them cuz they're hard to see. i think they look better in person, so i hope you do too! best of luck with that...

(on a side related note, do you guys think the chrome interior door handles would look good??)

I'm trying to steer away from painting stuff.. I'll just try to get them from another Max. I was thinking of changing my whole tan interior to the black interior.. Heh.. Slightly costly but I think it'd be worth it. Probably not for the next while though. Gotta go get me those speaker grills though, it's sooooo ugly right now without the grill on...

chrome interior door handles? ... eh... I don't think that'd work unless you had more chrome/alumnium interior peices. But if you just have the chrome handles, I think it'll look slightly out of place.

Just my .02

sorry to change subject on your thread...

thanx for your opinion though...i do have brushed aluminum pedals and just got a nokya ebrake handle for really really cheap. so those look nice i think and perhaps the handles from sycefiro will finish it off. let us know how your speaker grills work out.

I've been really thinking of trading this '96 5spd for another Max with a black interior. I got a OK deal on this '96 -- but I'm thinking I may find another one so I don't have to change too much in the interior.

Nokya ebrake handle eh? Happen to have any pics of that?
