Drilled and Slotted Rotors

Have a question on the pros and cons of the rotors. For a daily driver are the drilled and slotted rotors a good choice? Whats the diffrence as opposed to blanks? Thanks

depends on how much you use the breaks, on the parkway its not going to be a difference, you should see better stopping and quicker cooling is you have drilled/ slotted rotors

Get either drilled or slotted, not both it's worthless and the added work and material take away from a rotor that is drilled and slotted may not be good.

Don't get drilled if y our gonna auto-X. They don't hold up will in extream conditions. Drilled are fine for normal street driving. Slotted and or just a good quality blank coupled with performance pads like Axxis Metal Masters or Raybestus (sp?) quiet stops will outperform stock eaily.

I got drilled and slotted rotors and am auto-Xin. Havent put them on yet, should I go with slotted instead you think? They are the Brembo-Bianchis on Southwest Autoworks. Also wouldnt mind finding some light(er) ones..

Cross drilled and slotted rotors do offer better performance for your brake system by being able to get rid of heat and gasses quickly....... The only downside to them is that they wear out your pads alot quicker........

i ran cross-drilled rotors on my old accord for about 4 years. honestly, they don't do much for a street car with the stock diameter.

unless you're picking them up for a great price and already need new rotors i'd pass on a street car. a good set of brake pads, set of stainless brake lines with a fully bled brake system will work wonders. brake pads are the key.

Yeah... cross-drilling and slots are just for looks on a street car. Cross-drilling can and does often contribute to cracks radiating from the holes.

The performance boost is in theory due to vaporizing pad gasses being able to escape through the holes. Not an issue in any street application....

Thanks for all the replies fellas. I purchased cross drilled and slotted of a group deal for $219 shipped which I don't think is bad and I wanted to hear some opinions if these would even benefit. Thanks again.
