Wudup fellas. I've got a 3rd gen now. I hit 74k miles 2 days ago...(i sh it you not) For 13 yrs...not bad at all.

Now - there's a '97 5spd SE on the lot at Town Center Nissan in ATL. Black, with tan cloth interior.
-74k miles
-One tiny ding on rear bumper
-brand new tires
-sunroof
-cd...etc.

price - $9988

FIRST - is that a fair price?

Do yall think if I sell my car for $3k and put that as a down payment...and finance the rest of it - will that work?

definately talk him down AT LEAST 1500 if you can...

 

your looking at like roughly 185 a month
not a bad price but you should definately be able to bring it down 1500, walk in put your credit card on the table and say thats the car thats the price heres my deposit and you will see. i used to sell chryslers and jeeps, it works. Remember if it was a trade they probgably own it for about $5000

 

got em to drop to $7500

they're offering a $2k trade in value for my 3rd gen

i got my 97 5spd se LOADED, with everything but the heated options (seats mirrors etc) without auto climate, and bose, for 9k with 68k on it.... so that sounds pretty good!
make sure its exactly what you want tho!

 

will the dealership let me take it to a mechanic and have it checked out?

only visible downfall is a scratch on the rear bumper....nothing that a buffer couldnt get rid of..

 

If he doesn't, then he's got something to hide. Its not in his best interest to not let you get it checked out because if he doesn't, then you won't buy the car.
