NEED HELP!!! Clearance Lights...

Okay, so I've had this car for about 2 weeks. I went to change the clearance light bulbs and according to the instructions in the "Owner's Manual" you just simply pry them out with a cloth and screwdriver. Well I couldn't pry them out...but I managed to get the one lense part way out and now I can't get it back in.

What is the secret to getting the clearance lamps out of the car to replace the bulbs? I really don't want to go to the dealership for something so trivial. HELP PLEASE!

just keep working at it. focus on pulling/prying near to the bottom of the clearance light because that's where the ball in socket is. it took me a while to get mine out too, but eventually it'll give.

once you remove the screw on top and loosen it a bit, you'll be able to see a ball and socket joint in between the clearance light and the headlight assy, it's towards the bottom. take a flat head and stick in btw but be gentle and you should be able to nudge the ball joint out and then the clearance light assy will come out...

If you have a long, thin flathead screwdriver you might be able to wedge the tip inside where the ball goes into the socket. It's tough to see in there- you might want to have a buddy pull the light and shine a flashlight for you. I had to do this with my 99 to get the lamp out.

it's a real *****, but don;t worry it most liely won't break, it took me like 40 minutes to get one side out when the othe side just came out real easy, keep pulling and twisitng a little bit and eventually it'll come out.
