We need alignment for the back as well?

I just talked to STS service shop...they said for our cars even though most of alignment takes place in front wheel...they have to adjust some joints in the back as well($10 extra)....is he right, and do we truley need adjustments/alignment for the back wheels?

Nothing is adjusted in the rear, it is used as a reference so the thrust angle is set correctly.

(Front tracks the same line as the rear)

A 4 wheel thrust angle alignment for our cars should cost somewhere around 50 bucks. (I pay 53 which includes tax )
