What color is tranny fluid supposed to be?
I got a '97 Auto what color is the tranny fluid supposed to be mine is pink with a nice smell to it is that normal?

yea pinkish redish is clean.. as time goes by itll go brownish.. every 30k get a tranny flush.. ive seen some cars with black trans.. nasty..

It should be pink and taste like strawberry. If it's black and tastes like licorice then you need to change it.

mine is a clear red if its foamy... you have problems too its gotta be clear reddish
