Trying to find an ECU
I have a 1995 SE 5-spd and I was going to get JWT to work their magic on my ECU. But since it takes 3-4 weeks, I was going to get a second ECU so that I can still drive my car. My plan was to get the second ECU, swap it out with my own ECU and send my ECU to JWT to program. Now, while searching for ECUs at local junk yards, I found that the ECUs for 1995 Maximas fall into 4 categories for production dates:
upto 5/94
6/94 - 8/94 (my car falls into this one with a date of 7/94)
9/94 - 11/94
12/94 and later
When I talked to JWT, Ben told me that it would be BEST if I could get an ECU from 6/94 - 8/94 so that I don't run into any check engine light problems or anything funny like that.
But my question is, what if I get an ECU from another one of those dates... or an ECU from 7/95 (for a 1996 5-spd SE)... since I only need it for 4 weeks, would there be any harm to my car whether or not the check engine light comes on, due to compatibility issues?
What would you guys do? Would you try to get the exact match or would you be able to use another one of the above part numbers? Thanks.
EDIT: One ECU that I am consideing is A18-B41-EL0 (production date 6/94 - 8/94) and the other ECU that I am considering is A18-C84-EYO (production date 7/95). My car is a 7/94. Would the second ECU cause any problems, compared to the first? Is there any difference?

These guys seem to have the ECU you need http://www.logels.com/ for $175
Search for your ECU.

But the other ECU I was referring to is WAY cheaper but not the exact same model as mine... that's why I was wondering if I could get that without any problems.
