i bought a wire harness for my car, from a taiwan ebayer, that can handle more wattage. i got it installed at a local nissan dealership, but they might've installed it wrong, because my highbeam doesnt work. well anyhow, it does handle the higher wattage bulbz, emitting a hid-like beams. you MIGHT have to sacrifice your high-beam for wirez that wont burn out.

If you want good foglights, use PIAA yellow-ion bulbs. I have them, and they work well in poor weather ( good weather too). They also light up the road shoulders well, and fill in most of the area that the lowbeams miss. But if you want a white driving light, don't use them.

I use the PIAA platinum series superwhites to replace my headlights. They go for~$60-70 on line and don't use any more power, but they put out WAY more white light than halogens. They don't run hot, either. It's much cheaper and easier than harnesses and such.

If you are going to run with the PIAA's I suggest using
the PIAA X-treme whites. They are whiter/brighter than the superwhites. They make them for our headlights (9004), fog lights (H3), and the corner lights (1157). There is no need for an upgraded wire harness for the headlights since they run at stock wattage.

How come you dont want Xenons? They are pretty good, Eurolight by Ractive is good to, they work fine for my interior lights. But Headlights, and Fogs.......PIAA is the way to go

thanks everyone for your advice, I don't want xenons for three reasons.

1) no highbeams
2) too expensive
3) no point

they cost about 350 w/o installation, another reason they really aren't that much brighter, at least from the inside, I drove my friend's mercedes and I couldn't see that big of a difference. I think I'll just go with some bulbs that work under the same voltage, I don't want to change any wires or anything.

thanks again
