Sick of 4X4 Height......lowering the car Questions

Okay, so i'm tired of the max looking like it belongs off road. I'm looking into dropping it. This is what i think i'm going to need.

KYB AGX shocks
Sprint or progress springs
eibach Camber bolts
Motivational Rear shock mounts
kyb front dust boots

I realize that not everyone needs the camber bolts, and even some people with them could not get their car aligned to spec.
also, i'm most likely going to go for the sprints, just so that it has a nice, even drop all around. But, am i missing anything? I've searched (thank god it's back) and what i found mostly was OPINION. I want to know if there is anything else that i will actually need to keep from messing up the car if i lower it.

Also, i've heard of people with sprints destroying their axles because of them. can someone please explain?

A lot of guys take Sprint Springs out because they dont ride nice and drop the car to much. Some have had axels fail because of the angle of the drive shafts when the car is down that low.

Lower isn't always better.

Stick with Eibach or H&R, they are the best real world sport springs out there for our cars. Eibach is probably one of, if not the best performance spring mfg.

There are a few other springs out for our cars to choose from. Maxspeed is favored by quite a few on here also. I've installed and drove on just about every combination of spring/strut you can think of. H&R and Eibach ride the best and give you a nice drop with excellent handling. They compliment the car.

hey man, i notice you got the H&R. I had one question. does it give you same amount of drop in rear and front? It looks like it does by looking at the picture, but tirerack.com says that

Lowers: Avg Low 1.4"F 1.3"R

I have Progress springs and they ride pretty nice. Not a drastic drop like the Sprints but definitely eliminates wheel gap. I'll take some new pics tomorrow and post them. Are you installing yourself or paying? I know a few of us do them ourselves. Its not hard it just takes the right tools, and patience. Good Luck.

I know you've searched around and probably ran into this page, but if you haven't, it's a really great resource for aftermarket parts for 4th gens:

I've been craving more performance lately, and while H&Rs w/ AGX are very acceptable, I feel that they're still not up to par w/ what I'm looking for. On sharp turn ins, etc....there is still an annoying feeling of roll. Eibach's might be a differnt story though. As a college student, I plan to sacrifice power and luxury for better handling and balance. (I'm looking for a 240sx)

That page is actually the reason why i'm considering progress springs.

NjMax: What i'm really hoping to achieve is not better handling or performance, but just a nicer looking car. I don't do autocross, if i race, it's in a straight line, so i'm not worried about the max handling better. If i could find the perfect spring, it would give me a nice 1.5-2" drop, and ride like a GLE. But that spring doesen't exist. You suggested Eibach, but i've heard that the ride is harsher than progress or H&R. Thanks for the help tho.

As far as parts, am i missing anything else? Or is that all i'm going to need (plus a spring compressor)?
