Throttle cable fully tightened

I tightened my throttle cable up and had just a little more room to go when I was done. Now it looks like it could be tightened up some more, but I'm virtually at the tightest it will go with the two screws. Are there other areas i can adjust to take up slack in the cable?

Why do you want to take up slack on your cable? Does it not go WOT when you foor it? If it does, why tighten the cable? It will make the pedal stiffer and way more touchy. I did this to my car and then loosened it again.

there used to be enough slack in the cable so that i could push the pedal down a few cm and it would not effect the throttle at all. after adjusting it, it felt more responsive and less jumpy. now its at an in-between. the part i really don't like is how it can be jumpy sometimes. if im in a gear and moving at a speed under 65 or something, take my foot off the gas, then put it back on, i feel a little jump instead of a smooth intro to acceleration. this jump wasnt there right after tightening the cable last time. ive got a clean tb also, so its not a sticky plate.

Plus if you tighten it too much and stomp on the pedal the cable might break. .. That would suck really bad.

really? well that thought never crossed my mind. Ill check how tight it feels when I stomp on the pedal (engine off).

is the general rule of thumb that the cable shouldn't rise above the crescent of the bracket that it attaches to on the TB?
