Frankencar Stage 2 Intake?

Just doing some last minute checks before I order my intake. For people who have installed a frankencar intake, what do you think of: 1)the HP gains 2)the new sound 3)the installation process? Others feel free to sound off on experiences with other intakes. Thanks y'all.

install is cake, i used the ebay midpipe, virtually the same as the frankencar i believe, and it worked well, the sound is loud at WOT but as quiet as stock all other times

HP Gains - Negligeable. Pulls better from 60-90mph though...I'm sure of it!

Installation - easy as ****

Sound - AWESOME. The whistle under partial throttle is a little wierd, but very quiet except fopr when you get on the throttle.

Throttle response - MUCH better. Rev matching downshifts is a lot easier...this, to me, is the biggest benefit of the frankencar.

Yeah, midpipes are definetly the best of both worlds.

Just reinstalled with upgraded frankencar midpipe (w/bend). Took me an hour, but that is due to 2 of my clamps being siezed (needed a lil encouragement to come off). Had to run to the store and pick up a new heater hose section (cracked), and a couple of clamps. Just got back from my joyride..and sounds/looks and feels great. I also got rid of my returning buzz from my y pipe/cat hanger, so I am very happy.

the intake is nice...cheaper than others and provides good sound. at WOT, my car's sound reminds me of, i believe it was, the shelby? at the end of gone in 60 seconds at WOT.

took me really long to get it installed though since the heater hose section was missing from the package, and without instructions I thought the wrong intake was sent. took a while to get a hold of the guys at frankencar, but after he told me what to get it worked out fine. just be aware that it may be slightly difficult to get the entire thing to fit in, but a quick bending in of the filter will work. i had to cut some wireties and relocate some factory harnesses in my car (I30) to get it to work...couldnt take pictures since it was too dark when i was finalizing the install.

Really easy to install. Sounds great, actually-people think its a V8 sometimes. Put your winds down and floor it, scared me the first time i did it but the sound is amazing,...the whistle is a little annoying sometimes but its no big deal. i have the frankencar and k&n cone on a auto 99se.
i left the bottom of the airbox along with the scoop, it looks like it allows some cool air to get to the intake but i dont know how most people have done it.
