I Get a Small Squeak When the Front Wheels Go Over a Speed Bump

I get a small squeak when my front wheels go over a speed bump. It's just a simple small "squeak" everytime the front wheels go over a speed bump or a large bump in the road. I wrapped every coil completely in wire wrap. What do you think it could be?

Same thing happens to mine. It's probably your struts getting ready to go out. Depending on what year your car is that is... Mine is a 95, and I know mine are about ready to blow.

Nah...not the struts because I have AGX's that are 1/2 a year old.

Its not the actual struts or springs, its the upper strut mount. Happened to mine, it wore out, so basically its at the top of your suspension setup, you can see it when you pop your hood. Mine wore out and you can actually see the top of the sturt move when you turn the wheel. Im pretty sure thats the problem, upper strut mount, if not, then I dont know lol. :P

How much did it cost you to pick up a couple new front upper strut mounts from Nissan?

Heh, mine is still messed up Haven't had the time/lazy to take off my drivers side front suspension to replace it. I think they go for about $45 shipped online. Most likely a little more expensive from the dealer.

Can you tell just by looking at it if it's worn out? I'll try to take some pics tomorrow to see if you guys can see anything.

Well, what happened with me was, I heard squeaking over bumps, and when I turned the wheel when I was stopped. I opened the hood, and had my brother turn the wheel. Thats when I saw the spindle move from the top (the part where the FSTB brackets are tightened). I looked at the other side and it was tight and secure. When I put in my new shocks/springs for my drop, i saw my worn out upper strut mount, it was worthless. I knew mine was gone cause you could see it move. Maybe you can have the same luck. lol
