I tried the search but I guess I'm not wording it right. The Chilton manual says to remove the one phillips head screw and to gently pull forward, but that isn't working. I thought I read once that there is another bolt holding it in. I'm trying to do the little trick to brighten the corners. Any advice would be helpful.

 

theres a ball and socket connection holding it in also. take a rag, wrap it around a flat head screwdriver, and wedge it in there (you should be able to see the place where its connected). then pry gently and it should just pop out. also you can use some wd40 to make it easier. BTW this should definetely have been covered in the search.

 

i am also wondering this because i want to do the AE corner mod..

Get a long screwdriver. The ball socket is near the bottom and to the front of the car. And instead of prying at it, you could also pull the lamp just enough to slip the head of the flathead screwdriver in between and then pull the corner lamp while twisting the screwdriver.

 

Just curious, but if you dont know how to take them out, how did you put the clears in? please dont tell me you payed someone to do it...

 

I just looked and I have no idea where that ball socket is.

 

Check your owners manual if you have it. There's a pic showing you how its connected.

 

We are talking about the Corner lights beside the headlights, not the bumper lights which consists of the parking/turn signal lights.
