opinions wanted on best tires to buy

i really know nothing about tires. i am going to have to replace mine soon. i was hoping to gets some good comments/ recommendation from some other maxima enthusiasts. i am not a street racer and do not need the most advanced tires on the market but i am willing to spend a little extra money for an upgraded set of tires. looking for advice.

Not sure what kind of tire you are looking for but I have really liked the dunlop A2 sports that I bought.

My cousin bought some kind of Continentals for his Max. They are the same series that BMW puts on their 330i.

Go to www.tirerack.com and read the 4 billion customer reviews for every tire in your size.

For a straight summer-type no-snow tire I LOVE the BF Goodrich G-force KDW's. Absolutely best street tire I've ever had on the Max. Phenomenal dry and wet grip, no hydroplaning, and ok noise.... Seems to wear better than expected too.(I'll probably get ~20,000 out of them)

There is no such thing as an all-season performance tire. Too much of a compromise. You'll know what I mean once you try some of the higher-end summer only type tires....

I run Blizzak's in the winter.

I'm riding on the Yokohama Avid V4's. It was down to these or the Dunlop A2's, the deciding factor was the shop gave me a better price on the Avid's.

Both are highly rated tires over at Tirerack.com, check them out there and filter the search by Nissan. It's probably the best place for tire ratings, but take it with a grain of salt as well. Read the comments and check out Tireracks own testing/review of the tire. The majority of the reviews are entered by readers, what their expertise is on tires is anybody's guess.

Both provide great 3 season traction and handling with okay for occasional use winter handling(get a proper set of snow tires if you really need them)

I've found the Avid's hook up amazingly well in the dry and in the wet(we get a lot of rain in Vancouver)

Dunlop Sport A2's I run them on my 16" rims during the winter months. Nice grip in both wet and dry conditions, also a very smooth and quiet tire.

I wish they made them in 235/45/17 series.

Yokohama A550H....... Not an ultra high performance tire, but its quiet, has a 50,000 mile warranty, and has excellent dry and wet traction..... It has an H rating which is good to 130 MPH....

I dunno about no such thing as an all-season performance tire. Well the actual phrase may have some questions arise but, from what i've read/heard from actual users, the Sumitomo HTR Z II's run good in the very well in the summer ( performed better overall than kuhmos ) as well as the snow. They are a long lasting tire that you can get a good performance wear out of them. Search Tirerack.com they'll have what you want, just input your specifics.

Heres a link to the tests. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...re_charts.html

I'm running Falken FK451 Z rated tires...I personally love them, they've got amazing traction, and are just a well manufactured tire from my experiences, the only downfall is they're a summer tire and aren't at all beneficial to the winter months, good thing I store the max away I guess.

Really liked using Firestone SZ-50's in 225/60-15 on the OEM wheels. One of few Z-rated tires that fit on 15" wheels. Great traction and handling. Very quiet also.

Good knee-jerk response.

I just got Toyo Proxes and they're great. Not too bad on noise, good dry and wet traction, and the price is right.

I really dig my Yokohama Parada Spec-2's...

I live in Seattle (lots of rain) and they still grip like hell.
