Installed MEVI
I installed my MEVI I just still need to connect it to the tach or coil. But I don't know how to do that. If you can give me some pointers on where exactly to attach I'd appreciate it. Besides that I've driven with it open and when it's open it's incredible taking it to redline. In second and third it used to sound like my engine was working really hard after 5600 rpms but that has stopped. And in third gear my top speed used to be about 90mph but it struggled to get there, now it flies to 100mph. I want to find a place where I can take it to 140 to see how much easier it is. I love the MEVI!!!

on coil #1 (if you are standing at the front of the car looking towards the engine bay, its the coil to the upper left, near the passenger side strut tower.) there is a sleeved set of wires going to the plug that plugs into the coil pack. there are 3 wires. tap the wire coming from your harlan to the RED/ORANGE/YELLOW wire going to the coil pack plug. you are going to have to strip back the rubber sleeving that covers the 3 wires a little bit to get good access to the wire. once you strip the wire and solder or use a wire tap make sure to cover the connection with electrical tape or shrink tube. so in the end you are running two wires into the engine bay (1 for coil pack, 1 for vacuum switch.) hope that helps.

Yeah thanks for the info. I'll have to do that soon. What did you use to strip back the rubber? Just a wirecutter/stripper?

Use the search... its your friend!
(in short, it changes the intake runners for the car, almost like a V-tec idea, anwyho, it lets the car gain back some HP lossed near high RPM's)

Actually, the VI isn't like VTEC. VTEC uses different cam profiles where the VI isn't really even using different runners. The VI just opens a chamber on top of the runners. The GS-Rs B18C1 engine had both vtec and dual runners.

Thanks, I did it myself. I always thought that the regular skyline mod was just too plain. So I did this mod myself. I just bought that paint from paintscratch.com, used a heat gun to pull the taillights apart (long and tedious job) then painted them, put them bck together and now I have white altezzas instead of that stupid chrome.
