I can start up the car fine, but i cannot shift it into gear with the clutch fully depressed. The clutch does not seem to grab anything till about half way depressed. If i try going into gear it grinds like nuts.... What could be broken and how much will it cost?

Dealer price 200-250, local shop 150-200. That's for in my area though could be drastically different for you.
Also check to see if your hydrolic fluid resivoir is up to the line. Generally, if you are low and you fill it up, you can limp home with the car... but it will need attention if it was in fact low.

I will throw out a guess and say that your cylinders (master or slave) is shot.

Your clutch lines have air in them. So you need to bleed them to get the air out.

True, but first check the fluid level. When the fluid goes too low it will get air into the lines. After you refill the fluid you will then have to bleed the lines. Usally if the fluid is low its for a reason; like sleepermaxima said the slave ,or master cylinder is probably leaking.

And one of my friends said i need to pull back the boot to see how much actually leaked...How the heck can it happen so quickly? I haven't had a problem till i tried shifting it into gear FROM work. I drove to work without incident, but there was a situation where it grinded twice in the morning, but i thought it was just my error. Damn nissan and damn hydraulic clutches!

Im gonna need to get a clutch kit.
The problem is that im 19 and its my DAD's car. So he wants nissan cause he is an immigrant. I know act would be perfect for it, but theres just no talking to him. The mechanic said he will call nissan and a bunch of aftermarket clutch companies for some prices. What are some brands i can give him that are good aftermarket clutches?????

Um, i replaced the slave cylinder. The car will run, but it shows obvious signs that the clutch is about to go.
