Y-pipe installed

I finally got the budget y-pipe in the mail. I installed it today and now my car sounds a bit like it has a GM 3.8 in it. But the car feels a little faster. Other than the fact that the car sounds like a$$ with the muffler i have on it, I like the product. I had some problems with the installation because of lack of equipment, but that was handled by a quick trip to the local muffler shop (I had to get them to loosen the one bolt I couldn't budge) at no cost to me, thank God. And the hanger that supports the y-pipe and cat would not fit back on so I'm going to have to get someone to fabricate something to put in its place.

And yes, ive checked the flex, and tightened all bolts, and used plenty of sealer...

I get a slight rattling but I also get this freakin chirping sound when I blip the throttle, I'm going to put a 2k muffler on it and hope that it will fix the sound it makes.

Check about 1/2 way back on the car. There is a bracket going across the exhaust. If the pipe is even close to that, take the bracket off and put some spacers between the bracket and the pipe. I did this on tuesday???, and it made a world of difference!!!

I could only get one of them off the other I got a muffler shop to remove. To torch it you just heat it up with the flame.

go get yourself some liquid wrench from autozone or one of those stores. soak the bolts for a couple of mins and they should come right off.

or try WD40 first if you have some. Let it soak for a bit. I've found that wd40 works sometimes.

Why not try those propane cans they sell at your local store, the ones for home projects (copper pipe welding, etc). Mmmmmm .... fire!
