'96 Alternator problems, overcharging help!
HI,
My original alternaltor after 145K km started overcharging (18 V) and the Hayes manual said 'if over 15V to replace the alternator as the voltage regulator is faulty'. Well yesterday I removed the alternator and had it rebuilt. It worked well for about half hour and once again its overcharging!?
I know that the diodes, bearings, etc was replaced in the original alternator. What did I miss, what could be wrong???
