Sounds from behind the glove box

Lately, I have noticed weird gurgling, squeaky, airy, and other sounds coming from behind the glove box (could there be a gnome back there?). Sometimes, I hear what sounds like little bubble popping behind my air vents on the middle of the dash.

I know that the blower-recirculator motor is behind the glove box (or thereabouts), but what might cause the sounds?

Have any of you had these sounds, and for those who have, what have you done about them? It seems that they come on with or without vents and A/C—mostly after a minute or two of driving as well, somewhat sporadic. Any ideas are appreciated.

Check the coolant level in your radiator. If it's low you could be hearing air being pumped throu your heater core.

Thanks, but coolant level is right where it should be. A/C blows cold as well, so I am guessing that the refrigerant is where it needs to be...any other suggestions?

the heater core is not behind the glovebox. the air intake for the climate control is there, as well as the two hoses for the ac lines. maybe those are letting air in somehow if the boots are worn.
