has anyone used Marvel Mystery Oil in their max, any good results? or risilone oil?

i heard some good things of marvel mystery oil , its supposed to stop the ticking noise your car gets at idle, usually for high milege engines, i heard with this that it may help stop it if mixed in with your oil

also heard the same results with risoline oil , a quart of this in place of a quart of your oil during oil change is supposed to have the same results, makes valves more lubricated and runs smoother

marvel mystery oil is red bottle
risoline is yellow bottle

any 1 tried these with any good or bad results?
i was thinking of tryin it

I've use Marvel Mystery Oil in my gas tank from time to time. Usually when I'm headed on a trip I dump a bottle in. It's supposed to keep the top end and fuel system lubricated.

Has it worked? Lets just say I get great gas mileage and have never had any problems with my car.

have u ever tried to use it in the crankcase, mixed with the oil?

supposed to take away any noises engine makes, clicking, etc
dont know if i should trust it in the engine, still sceptical on all engine additives that they wont mess up ur engine more

I don't put anything in my crankcase except Castrol GTX 10W-30 motor oil.

The VQ engine doesn't have Hydraulic Lifters. It's a bucket and shim setup. Some cars with Hydraulic type lifters develop valve taps because the lifter becomes clogged and cannot pump up with oil to close the valve lash. Additives such as Marvel Mystery Oil and other internal engine cleaners can clear up cloggs and restore Hydraulic Lifter performance. Being our VQ engine lifters are not Hydraulic, they will not benefit from any additives. The lifter in the VQ acts more like a spacer or guide between the shim and the valve stem.
