you gotta take the steering collums off, then some bolts, then carfully pull it out, it's not easy but it'll come out.

This is the procedure for resetting the dashboard Air Bag warning light.
This information came from the '99 Maxima factory service manual.
Perhaps your '95 works the same way. It's easy enough to try.

Open the driver's door. Note the rubber covered button, a button which is
pressed by the door when the door is closed. This is the Driver's Door
Switch (DDS).

Turn the ignition from OFF to ON. Press the DDS at least 5 times within 7
seconds after turning the ignition switch ON. Turn the ignition OFF.
Close the driver's door. Start the engine.

Possible causes for this warning light to go on include...
- a fault with the Air Bag.
- abnormally low voltage in the electrical system due to a weak battery.
- a maladjusted door striker plate such that the door does not close properly,
and the DDS is jiggled on and off constantly as you drive.

If the dashboard warning light remains on after you perform this reset procedure you may have to let the dealer handle the problem.

Like I said in the other thread, airbags are not something you should mess around with ... or ignore.

If the light is still on after you reset it, take it to a certified SRS technician.

Technically your definitely right. But I don't care enough about them to spend a nickel on them.. I'd rather have the whole system shut down. It's too blasted unreliable anyway.

I took the gauges without removing anything other than the dash. If you lower the steering wheel all the way, there is just enough clearance for some tricky bending and maneuvering. Unscrew the screws that hold it in (behind the switches, up on the under-side of the top gauge housing, etc.) and then do some carefully tugging. Careful not to scratch or break anything.

Airbags are a safety item like seat belts. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would think Nissan would be obligated to fix it for free.
