Mass air flow sensor

does anyone know where i can get a MAF for cheap and not at a dealer price? mine is out, and i dont have 3 hundred dollars to spend on something like that. please let me know. my car is not drivable at this moment.

with your mass air flow sensor out what is your car doing and how did you check to see if your mass air flow sensor is out.

The car will try to start, but stall. Then after a while, it won't even turn over. You either check your ECU, or play trial and error.


Call your local junk yards, i got mine for $60, and that was only becuase i didn't feel like waiting.

i once heard of a high flow MAF? any true to it, as i understand it was simply 2 wires not a mesh...but i don't see as how the wire mesh resrtics much airflow....any ideas?

the whole "removing the mesh" thing is one of those "mods" that is simply a rumor. there is a detailed write up on it, and i can't find the damn link. People believe that if you take out the mesh, the air flows better, but someone did it, and noticed no change on the dyno.
