Exhaust Systems

THIS IS FIRST TIME I AM ACTUALLY WRITING ON THE FORUM, HOWEVER I AM ALWAYS READING THINGS THAT YOU GUYS POST. EXCELLENT INFORMATION. MY QUESTION IS ABOUT EXHAUST SYSTEMS. I CURRENTLY OWN A 97 MAX SE I AM INSTALLED A BUDGET Y-PIPE WITH A RANDOM TECH CAT, A STILLEN CAT BACK EXHAUST. I ALSO INSTALLED A RESONATOR TO THE B-PIPE. BUT I AM THINKING A CHANGING TO A DIFFERENT MUFFLER. WHAT WOULD YOU GUYS RECOMMEND AS FOR AS A HIGH PERFORMANCE MUFFLER THAT IS QUIETER THAN THE STILLEN.

Yeh, but I like the look of the after market mufflers. I just want something alittle quieter. I have read from you guys that the Apexi ehaust is quieter. Also how about the HKS mufflers. Also sorry about the caps.

its ok, hks is kinda raspy from what i've heard on my frinds 240, dont even know if they make one suitable for a max, most people love dynomax mufflers, but if u are just going for loks u can always chop of the tailpipe and weld on a new one that cheaper and would look better

well stillen exhaust are naturally one of the loudest, but everything from stillen is a d*mn rip off. you should just sell the stillen off, and get something cheaper and save some money. otherwise, look into a magnaflow or borla. 5th gen mufflers are always good for a low profile look

Yea I have read good things about magnoaflow, I just might go with that. Thanks. I more question, should I go with a stainless setup or just a aluminized. Which would last longer. I live in New York, so the weather is crazy right about now.
