Sticky Accelerator Pedal

As I mentioned before I am new here.... I had just purchased my 96 maxima and I noticed when the car sits over night or just for a hour or so when I go to press the gas for the first time its a little sticky. I know I have to clean the throttle body out, but do you guys recommend any special cleaner? Will carb cleaner work, or should I buy the special "Throttle Body" cleaner stuff. Any other suggestions besides the throttle body being dirty for a sticky accelerator cable...?

Use throttle body cleaner for fuel injected engines. I've heard carb cleaner isn't to good for you engine. Just play it safe and use what is recommended.

Probably just a stupid question but...have you done any work under the hood near the intake or throttle cables.? Cause i remember when i installed my intake i pushed some wires aside with out checking the clearance and it was in the way of the throttle cables and the accelerator felt like it was sticking.
Just a suggestion.
