slow response

Whenever I slow down and then accelerate, whether I come to a stop sign or a turn, my car drags for a second or two. What would make that happen?

Re: slow response

The automatic tranny in the maxima is known for this. One solution is getting a valve body upgrade from Maximum Tuning. That will make your car's downshifts and upshifts faster. A cheaper solution is to come to a full stop at stop signs. =P You can also manually downshift the car in to 2nd gear when coming out of turns.

A valve body upgrade does not change the shift pionts. The shift points are controlled by the transmission controller.
The VB only makes the shifts firmer.

The solution is to almost come to a complete stop.

Did I say it would change the shift points?
