Does anyone know if anyone makes sub-frame connectors or other type of body structure stiffeners for the 4th Gen Maxima? If I get a Maxima SE I probably would by them if they exist.

KnightWS6: I think there was a thread in the General Forums that was linked to a person's site who had heavily modified his Maxima. He had a SC and NOS. On his page, he said something about getting custom subframes installed on his Max. He hadn't done it yet though. I don't remember the link though..sorry.

BTW, do you have a WS6 Firebird and are you a Knight Rider fan? Just guessing..from your nick name.

Hmmm...subframe connectors will do little for the Maxima. The 4th gen Maxima doesn't have near the flex the 4th gen F-Body has. I had a 94 Z28 hardtop and it wasn't as stiff as my Maxima. My z28 was much stiffer than the T-top F-Bodies. The convertible is even worse. Simply put, the 4th gen Max is a stiffer car all around. I know, I've owned both.

We had a discussion long ago about it. The Ford SHO guys have them for their unibodied cars. But it was determined that the Maxima flexed less than the shos did so it was not really necessary. Even if you did, the rubber motor mounts would probably flex more anyway.

mAdD MAX: You guessed right. I have a 2000 Black WS6 T/A 6spd manual. Knight Rider is one of my favorite shows of all time.

Dave B: I agree with you. My T-top car started to loosen up in as little as 5000 miles on the odometer. I have Kenny Brown sub-frame connectors on it. It made a noticeable difference in the reduction of flex but the car still developed a few rattles over time, partially due to the crappy roads in my area as well as the suspension mods I have on the car. It's a shame the F-body structure is so weak. I'm sure the Maxima doesn't need it but wondered if I would still see a difference.

cool! Knight Rider IS my FAVORITE show...I still watch my taped episodes over and over again. Have you heard of the Knight Rider meet they have in the US? A bunch of people have modified their Trans-Am (both old and new) to look like KITT.

These are the pics of Knight Rider National meet they had in 2000. There are newer T/A in there too.
