Question about 99 Greddy evo exhaust

Does anybody have any idea why this exhaust will not fit/work for a 97-98 max. Pipe fitment issues or whatnot, GReddy wont email me back so any help is appreciated.

I think it has something to do with the o2 sensor

you can get the bung welded on the cattback, thats what this kid did the one that shows off all the time cant think of his name right now.
