Problem- burning smell in cabin!!!!

When I take the car to 70-80 or above or after hard accel (And yes, I know its not burning tires.... The vents and heat are off along with fans, but whenever I accelerate hard or bring the car up to 70-80-90 for more than a minute, the car heats up quite a bit and I get a burning smell. I assume this isn't normal... any help, guys?

I've had a slight burning smell also sometimes, but I always thought it might have been another car on the road.

Can you locate where the smell comes from ? I would say burning smell no matter where from is not a good thing...I hope is not coming from the transmission...(automatic ?) Maybe is a good ideea to check under the hood ,when the smell comes on,maybe you could locate the cause.

Anything on this? I have something else to add to the "mystery"...

I have a cylinder 6 misfire (ECU code 06 03) being reported as well. I intend to pull the plug from the cylinder early tomorrow to see if it's fouled and to try and isolate a cause. Taken in conjunction with the burning smell (which sometimes has a faint sulfur odor) any ideas what this could be???
