not sure where my post went.......

hello org.ers!

my automatic antenna is not going up all the way.

i'm sure after I grease it up a little, all will
be well, but, how do I go about greasing it?

I've added white silicone grease to the outside
of the antenna, but, no real luck...

-- should I use a more liquid grease/oil?
-- can I grease the antenna from the inside?

l'il help please!

err...that's what I meant -- lithium, not silicone.

spraying it on the outside did, well, next to nothing...
I'm starting to think I should use something a-la-WD40

You can get new antenna masts on ebay for cheap. Using lithum grease isn't a good thing. Dirt and other crap will stick to the antenna and will gum up the mast. If you get a new one, wash it once in a while and use a dry (graphite) lube once in a while. That should do it...

My camry use to have that problem, I just used graphite lube on it every once in a while and it worked.
