Ive got a 1997 Maxima. The leather seats have cracked and need to be replaced. Should I get new seats, or can I get a good result from recovering?

I would find an upholstrey shop in your area and see what they would charge for a recover job..... It might e cheaper than new seats

You can get the inserts of leather spliced in as needed..but if there are too many pieces to do, getting a whole new cover would be more ideal and last longer. Plus putting new leather inserts in covers may not look as good cause the leather shades may not match perfectly. I've seen leather covers range anywhere from $300 to $1200 per cover.

Never get new seats just get them reupholstered, in either leather or cloth probably what they would do anyways. If your in Maryland let me know I had my cloth taken out when I bought my car and leather put in for about $900 liftime warranty. They look great.

they both have group deals on this site and end up being around 600 for two tone covers for front and rear seats

I just got aftermarket leather put in my MAx when I bought it and it was like $1000, but it looks amazing, just get them recovered.
