I want to know if it is worth it, does it help (prevent) with the tranny slipping. I heard a lot of stories about people;s tranny slipping after the SC, so i was wondering if this torque converter will prevent it, as i read on the levelten web site, they recommend people to change the torque converter if you have a turbo of SC. ANY INPUT WILL HELP!!! thank you
I don't have it
I am running to stock amount of boost from the SC (5lbs) and my tranny is still doing well. I did get the VB modified and add a tranny cooler and that is it. Abuse it all I want and it still holds up great. You might want to get the TC when you up the boost to like 8-10lbs to keep it together
The Torque Convertor has NOTHING to do with preventing slipping clutches. In fact, it would give them the opportunity to cause more damage.
The VB upgrade id the ONLY thing that will keep your trannies clutches from slipping (unless they already are).
They recommend the TC if you have a turbo, because the TC will allow more spool-up before the car is launched, not because it will help your transmission. If your stall speed is factory (1850rpm) you may increase the stall to 26-2800 RPM, BUT in race conditions you will not engauge the clutches until that RPM is met. (like dumping the clutch)...IN NO WAY will a higher stall convertor keep a tranny from failing.

TC will not prevent slipping. TC with higher stall rate just allows you to launch at higher rpm, so you get into your powerband quicker. Your 60' will improve because you can launch so much harder off the line. Level 10 buys their TC from this company http://www.protorque.com/ Don't spend the extra $100-$200 getting from a middleman.
