Bomz CAI instructions or help?

I just got my Bomz CAI today and it came with no instructions. I guess it's because it's a fairly simple mod to do, but I really don't want to make any mistakes and could use some help. Do any step-by-step instructions exist? I'm supposed to drill into the fender to fit the filter, right? Where exactly would I drill and what is it supposed to end up like?

basically you just put the little pipes all together, and make a hole for the intake to fit into the fender wall! its relatively easy, but since i don't actually have the bomz, i will let someone post actual instructions...have a splendid day

does the car have to be raised for the filter to screw in from underneath?

yes, you'll have to jack up the car, undo the fender liner a little to reach up in the fender well to tighten the filter onto the pipe. assuming the piping for the kit is 3", you go buy a 3.25" hole saw adapter for your drill. remove the battery, battery tray, unbolt the fuse box to give yourself room to drill. connect all the pipes and see where it ends up. mark the location you need to drill. make sure the battery tray will be able to fit back on once the pipe goes through the hole you are about to drill. then drill. clean up all the metal shavings when you are done. the rest is self explanatory. As for oiling the filter, it depends on the material. If it's cotton gauze type material, it should come oiled already. If it's paper-like material then it won't be oiled. good luck.

there should be a hole in the pipe for you to place the air temperature sensor.

There's a hole in the mid pipe that is plugged with a rubber plug. Just pull the plug out and put the sensor in there.

Good luck!

I didn't. I have PR, not this one, but I did it just fine without jacking it up. I pulled a couple of the clips, undid a couple of the screws, and was able to bend the liner away to get the filter on.

The only thing this write-up doesn't have is the template for the hole. I ran into the same problem recently when I bought a used PR CAI. You can tell close enough by looking at the pictures. Drill your pilot hole for the hole saw, then place the hole saw in the pilot hole, underneath the vehicle (where the filter will reside). You can easily tell if you'll hit anything. Once you see you wont, go back up top and cut away.
