Top speed of each gear on a automatic with JWT ECU (7000rpm)

I was wondering what the top of each gear is now that the redline is 7000 rpm. I think I almost saw 90mph in 2nd gear! Anyone know the numbers for sure?

i can hit 80-82mph in second with my stock ecu so i should think 90+ is within range. nothing like having an auto max

See what your speed is at 3500rpm in each gear and then multiply that speed by 2.

Cool! I wasn't sure if it worked that way. But I guess it does.

Cartest says you'd reach 48, 89, 139, 203 @ 7000rpm in each gear assuming you have tires that are stock sized.

Great! But I'm running 225/55 on the stock 16s. Could you give me the numbers for those? Excellent, thats exactly what I was looking for though. I need a general idea what gears I can downshift in to and what speeds.

With different size tires, your actual physical speed may change, but the speed you see on the speedo will be the same. So, his numbers still apply.

doubt it since our cars top out a 140ish, even with JWT ECU they would only be in the 150's maybe...

Yes, check your knock sensor. 200mph should be easy with a perfect running car. Probably your knock sensor or maybe speedo error. Do you have Spiral Max yet?

You can def. hit a speedo indicated 80mph in 2nd gear. There is tach error. So you shift after redline.

i've found that the best way to race an auto is to pay attention to the speedo for gear changes rather than the tach. it's usually way off when you're up in the higher revs. or just learn when and where your tach's off
