how slow?

how slow would auto max be with 18"x7.5 rims, average weight, not light wheels, not super heavy, just regular 18", say 18" konig monsoon. 1/4 mile? freeway passing power?

well stock autos normally run between 15.7-16.2 or so. in that super steet article that was circulating around, supposedly when they ran a sentra with 19 and without 19 there was .3 second difference in the 1/4.

Heavy wheels mostly effect your low end power, like from a stoplight... Highway power probably won't be changed enough to feel a difference.

Weight isn't the only factor though. Just increasing the diameter of the wheel hurts acceleration.

But don't most people get the tire size that will make the wheel diameter fairly close to the stock wheel diameter.
You would be safe with almost no difference in diameter with either a 225/35/19 of 235/35/19 tire size.
