ECU programs

just curious. my check engine light came on the other day, not blinking. so i had it checked, and it was throwing codes that the knock senor and an O2 sensor was loose. i tightened them, and it stayed off. then it came on again about 3 days later. i dont want to pay $50+ for someone to check the computer. does anyone have the software for a 96 Maxima GLE?? or any advice on the matter??

Did not know there was a code for a loose o2 sensor

Are you sure the code for for a "loose" sensor?

i should clarify, it wasnt a loose sensor. it said heated O2 sensor.
so i cleaned, and tighten the sensor connections. because at the moment financially thats all i could afford to do.

Well, there is no harm in trying to clean it before having to replace it. If it came back then your going to need to replace it. o2 sensors can be had for around $65 online.

Also, what do you want "software" for and how do you think it's going to help? You got a code for a bad o2 sensor, tried cleaning it but it did not work, so now it needs to be replaced.
