Injen Intake, Bigger Filter?
I picked up my Injen at the N.E. Meet this past Saturday and I'm wondering if you can put a larger K&N on it?
So far I love this intake, it pulls hard in the mid range area and growls like a V8 when you open it up I do notice that it does seem to fall off slightly at the top end. Like around 5500 RPM's it almost feels like it's running out of air. The K&N that came with it seems small to me, not that there's much space down where it sits, but I think I may be able to get a slightly larger filter down there to get around the top end fall off.
Any ideas, has anybody put a larger filter on their Injen, and if so which one and did you get the top end pull back @ 6000RPM's?

Interesting, then what causes the slight fall off just before 6000 RPM's or is it just that the pull is harder in the mid area which makes the top end only feel as if it's falling off?

I think you're right about the mid range gains and no gain on the top.
