Anyone ever hear of a Pacesetter catback system? I've been told it sells for around $140 on Nopi.com? Sounds awfully inexpensive but would be a heck of a deal if true... Would a cat back be better, equal to, or not as good as buying a Y pipe for add'l hp/airflow?

It probably has the same power gains as any other catback, but it's total crap. They fit badly, will rust out quickly, and look ugly as hell. I've seen some cars with them, and the tip always sticks out a good 5 inches past the bumper. Just get the Y-pipe.

its gotta be better than welding a universal muffler to a stock exaust pipe, the pipe is mandrel bent 2 1/2 inch tubing and even if the muffler does rust out over time then so what add a good universal to the pacesetter pipe i know i have seen alot of posts on the stillen muffler doing the same....bottom line for 140 i think its a steal and would be willing to try it

But for $140 I could have it rust out every three years and buy a new one and STILL be money ahead than buying a "nicer" cat back. MAybe I could Sawzall the muffler tip so it fits beneath the bumper?
